This is the 21st year of a wonderful tradition at Garfield Elementary...The Giving Tree! Many children with significant needs live within the boundaries of Clovis Unified School District. The Garfield Parent-Teacher Club has offered the generosity of our community to the children at Sierra Vista Elementary School as the recipients of our Giving Tree efforts.
Teachers at Seirra Vista Elementary have identified the very neediest children and obtrained information on the ages and clothing sizes of all children in their families. If you choose to participate, this is the information you will find on each red / blue / white "Paw Ornament" on the Giving Tree, which is located in the Garfield Library, or in a basket on the counter. Parents are welcome to stop by and check out a "Paw" before or after school. A volunteer will sign out your "Paw".
Beginning Tuesday, November 13th, you or your child may select a "Paw" ornament from the Giving Tree. You will then shop for the item(s) of new clothing and a small toy for "your" Giving Tree child.
Please provide a single wrapped gift (per recipient_ in a solid, striped, or polka dot gift paper in our school colors of red, blue, or white to match the "Paw" ornament. By using these school colors, Sierra Vista families will know that Garifeld cares about them! Please securely attach the "Paw" and return to Garfield by Wednesday, December 5th. Please return by this date so our volunteers can process the gifts and deliver them to Sierra Vista.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
