This is the 23rd year of a wonderful tradition at Garfield Elementary... The Giving Tree! Many children with significant needs live within the boundaries of Clovis Unified School District. The Garfield Parent-Teacher Club has offered the generosity of our community to the children at Sierra Vista Elementary School as the recipients of our Giving Tree efforts.
Thursday, NOVEMBER 19th, the Giving Tree will begin. This year instead of visiting Mrs. Hedrick in the library to pick out the "Paw Ornament", you will be able to select a child or children from home. To select a child go to:
You will then shop for an item(s) of new clothing and a small toy for "your" Giving Tree child.
Please provide a single wrapped gift (per recipient) in a solid, striped, or polka dot gift paper in our school colors of red, white, or blue. By using our school colors, Sierra Vista families will know that Garfield cares about them! Be sure to label each gift with the number assigned to your child when you selected him / her.
Please be sure to return your gifts to Garfield December 7th - 9th. Gifts must be received by this date to allow volunteers to process the gifts. Food and gas gift cards will also be available for selection to make shopping easy!
Times of when to drop off your gifts will be given as we get closer to the due date. The drop off location will be in the loading zone located on Nees Avenue.
